Back to School

As children are preparing to return to school, or have already returned, we as parents, grandparents, teachers, counselors, pastors, neighbors, aunts and uncles, must take very seriously the job of training up a child in the way they should go!

We need to decide are we going to “build them up” or are we going to “tear them down”? Are we going to encourage them with the gifts and talents that they have been given and Just Say It!, “I believe in you”. Or are we going to use our words to discourage and belittle them?

We all have a choice, as there is great power in the spoken word. With our children, we as the adults in their lives are entrusted by God, to use this power to influence, to encourage, to bless, to admonish and to exhort. All of us have been created and designed for greatness! All of us have a unique purpose and destiny to fulfill here on this earth. It is our responsibility with the children that we have been entrusted with to ensure that they are given every opportunity to fulfill their purpose here on earth.

I want to encourage all of you to begin by reflecting on how you are using your words when you talk with your children? Are you building up your children or are you tearing them down? For with much power, comes much responsibility. If you are struggling in this area in terms of speaking positive, encouraging words to your children, I want to encourage you that it is never too late to begin again! Begin from where you are now, take a stand and make a commitment to train up your children in the way they should go and when they get older they will not depart from it.

Let’s start a worldwide phenomenon and Just Say It!, “I believe in you”, and “You are important”. I encourage you to visit my website, www.justsayit.today and post your success stories as you begin or as you continue to use the power that is in the spoken word to build up your children. Send your children off to school this fall with confidence and courage, knowing that you believe in them and that you think they are important!
